Aadi Mahotsav was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Durga Das Uikey, Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Government of India, in presence of Hon’ble Shri Kuberbhai Dindor, Minister of Tribal Development, Government of Gujarat,  Hon’ble Shri Parbhubhai Vasava, Member of Parliament, Bardoli and Chairman of TRIFED. 

Around 190 tribal Artisans from different states will be exhibiting Tribal art and craft from across the country  during this period 13 to 22 oct 2024. Cultural program by tribal performers will be an integral  part of festival.
 

RO Rajasthan organized Sickle Cell Anaemia awareness drive at VDVK beneficiaries, SIA office with the help of SND, SIA, Mentoring agency of Rajasthan.

World Sickle Cell Anemia Day Awareness Drive and Screening Test was held at EMRS Pookode, Wayanad District, Kerala. Event was inaugurated by the Honorable District Collector of Wayanad, Smt. Dr. Renuraj IAS. After the awareness session, screening tests were administered to students of EMRS School and members of VDVK.

Col Arvind Kumar, DGM , Mr Rishi Pal (Consultant) from TRIFED, HO and Mr Haren Nath, Officer, IIE, Guwahati visited 2 VDVK, the VDVKs are :
i)    Mudoibari VDVK, Vill- Mudoibari, Block- Pachim Mongoldoi, Pin-784146
ii)    Baliputa VDVK, P.S- Kalaigaon, P.O- Bhakatpara, District- Darrang Pin- 784190

15th August is a proud day for all Indians. Independence day is commemorated with joy and pride throughout the country. 

TRIFED offices across the country also celebrated India's 74th Independence Day with the same fervour.

A special campaign was  organised in Lahaul and Spiti in Himachal Pradesh on July 7 and 8, 2020. The campaign was for the registration of new  Artisans, wherein a briefing about the Van Dhan Yojana was also given.
