Ace Designers

To gain a widespread audience for tribal products, TRIBES India has been collaborating with several ace designers, namely Ritu Beri, Rina Dhaka, Winky Singh, Neera Nath and Rosy Ahluwalia.

The Naga Narrative, a fashion show was staged at the Surajkund Mela in February 2020 wherein Ritu Beri, through her definitive collections, brought the focus on to textiles and fabrics from Nagaland. 

Rina Dhaka has been collaborating with TRIBES India to attractively package and showcase tribal products.

 

 

Design Studio Service 

TRIBES India offers a wide range of products (wall art, paintings and decorative items) to decorate your living and work spaces. Each piece and service provided has a story to tell about our tribals residing in remote areas of the country. It is a journey from the forests to our houses/offices, bringing their rich and vibrant culture to your doorsteps.

Traditional tribal School of paintings such as Pithora paintings done by Rathwa Tribe from Gujarat; Gond paintings from Pradhans of Gond Tribes; Saura painting by Saura Tribe of Odisha and Warli painting by the Warli Tribes of Maharashtra are represented. These can be customised into either wall art or paintings on different mediums (paper/ canvas/ silk)

A wide range of artefacts and decorative items made by tribes across the country from Jharkhand to Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan complementing the wall art are available. These include wood craft from tribes spread in Jharkhand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh; cane  and bamboo fixtures and furniture from Tribes of North East; Dokra craft from Tribes spread in the states of Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Odisha; blue pottery artefacts from Rajasthan; Longpi pottery from Tangkhul Naga Tribe of Manipur and torans and decorative hangings from Bhil tribes of Gujarat to name just a few.

Handwoven and embroidered home furnishings from the tribal regions which tell tales of the region and people are also available. Be it curtains, table cloth, runners in block prints from MP or applique and tanka work from Rajasthan, or the grass curtains from West Bengal, or the ones from North-East, these products would definitely add some colour in any home.
