The Managing Director of TRIFED, Shri M. Rajamurgan, IPS, visited the “Aadi Chitra – National Tribal Painting Exhibition” held at P. L. Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy, Mumbai on 11 November 2025 as part of the Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada celebrations on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
The exhibition is being held from 10th to 16th November 2025.
During the visit, the MD interacted with tribal artists .The exhibition showcases various tribal art forms such as Warli, Gond, Bhil, Pithora, Saura, and Pattachitra. He appreciated the creativity and cultural depth of the artworks and reaffirmed TRIFED’s commitment to promoting tribal art as a source of sustainable livelihood.
The exhibition features over a hundred artworks reflecting the diversity, spirituality, and harmony with nature that define India’s tribal heritage. The MD encouraged art enthusiasts, students, and people from all walk.
