TRIFED Regional Office, Guwahati, in collaboration with the EMWSSAA (NEC, Ministry of DONER) Project, celebrated the 150th Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas at Bodoland University with great enthusiasm. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Hon’ble MLA and Executive Member (Education) of the Bodoland Territorial Council, Shri Rabiram Narzary, who attended as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Prof. B.L. Ahuja, Vice-Chancellor of Bodoland University; Shri Dawa Penjor, General Secretary of the Bhutan-India Friendship Association (BIFA), Bhutan; and Col. David Khojal, Commanding Officer of the 135th Infantry Battalion.
The Chief Guest inaugurated a vibrant exhibition showcasing tribal arts, crafts, cuisines, and other indigenous products created by TRIFED-empanelled artisans and those supported by EMWSSAA (NEC). Alongside the Tribal Artisans Empanelment Mela, a series of cultural performances and awareness outreach programs will continue through 22nd November 2025, celebrating tribal heritage and promoting artisan empowerment.
