Prime Minister's Vision
The PM’s vision to "go local" and the government committed to "Make in India", promotion and marketing of tribal products, a key component of TRIFED's activities, has received further impetus.
TRIFED is diligently working towards leveraging every district’s potential to serve the country with its capacity to produce indigenous products that are at par with the industry standards at both national and international levels.
“Each district of India has so much to offer. Let us make local products attractive. May more export hubs emerge; our guiding principle is zero defect, zero effect,” the Prime Minister said.
Following the Prime Minister's clarion call to go 'local', government departments have made it a mission to collaborate and work towards efforts to promote tribal products. The Ministry of Commerce will work with TRIFED to create national and international market linkages for the products.
