TRIFED RO (North) organized Tribal Artisan Empanelment Mela (TAEM) on 26.07.2025 & 27.07.2025 at Meeting Hall, R&B Dak Bungalow, Dawar, Gurez, District Bandipora, Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir

2. The event was graced by Mukhtar Ahmad, SDM Gurez alongwith Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad, BDO, Tulail and Lateef Manto, BDO Dawar

3. The aforesaid TAeM was organized in collaboration and assistance with 
(i) Tribal Affairs Department, UT of J&K
(ii) District Development Commissioner, Bandipora 
(iii) Department of Forest, Bandipora
(iv) Department of Horticulture, Bandipora 
(v) Department of Agriculture, Bandipora 
(vi) Department of Handicraft & Handloom, Bandipora
(vii) JKRLM

4. A total of 
(i) 21 individual tribal artisans attended the empanelment process out of which 16 individual tribal artisans were empanelled
(ii) 12 SHG attended the empanelment process and all 12 SHG were empanelled

5. The objective of this event is to identify and empanel tribal artisans/SHGs from various regions, to provide them a national platform to showcase their traditional skills and crafts in order to provide them marketing support and access to wider markets through the “Tribes India” brand.

6. At the conclusion of the event, sample products of textiles, organic, jewellery, gifts & assortments were procured from tribal individual artisans/SHGs for introducing them into TRIFED supply chain for wider outreach .
