On 15th November 2025, TRIFED Regional Office (North) participated in the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas 2025 celebrations held at Mendhar, District Poonch, Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, by setting up a vibrant Tribes India exhibition stall.

The event was organized by the District Administration, Poonch, in collaboration with the Tribal Affairs Department, Government of J&K, to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda—a revered icon of tribal pride and resistance.

The Tribes India stall, showcasing a diverse range of tribal products and crafts, was visited by several dignitaries, including Shri Javed Ahmad Rana, Hon’ble Minister of Tribal Affairs, J&K, Brigadier Mayank of the Indian Army, Colonel Sanyam Kashyap, General Manager, VDVK (TRIFED), along with other senior officials. Their presence and appreciation underscored the importance of tribal empowerment and cultural preservation.
